Weddings

Aaahh.. wedding seasons.. or is it not? Weddings are no longer using the rule of thumb i.e. school holidays= E, weddings=MC2. It can be at any month nowadays. Just like durian.

But the similar stuffs are kept at a fixed manner, however. Wedding stuffs like kenduri, makan, dulang hantaran, pengantin, pengapit, families, friends, kompang and music are still at a similar trend. What intrigued me the most at this wedding I attended a few days ago was the music part. At the peak of the event, after the doa and everthing, while the pengantin and the chosen ones were enjoying their special meal at their own special table, blared into the air a P Ramlee song that is now re-popularized by Ahmad Dhani, “Madu Tiga”. I knew at that time that I wasn’t the only one who realized that the song was a wee bit inappropriate for a wedding. Heard a few laughter during that “…Ana kawen tiiigaaaa…” part. Wish there were a few more guys who dared enough to singalong. Such a catchy song.

I prefer live bands than jockeys.
